A Poplar Bluff police dispatcher told K8 News that a suspect entered the Commerce Bank on U.S. 67-North at approximately 11:35 a.m.  The suspect was armed with a handgun and apparently took an undetermined amount of money before fleeing in a small dark car.

Descriptions of the suspect vary.  The dispatcher said he has been described as both a black and white male, possibly wearing a ski mask and donning a ponytail.  This afternoon, a dispatcher said police are looking for a "dark complected male."
