ST. LOUIS (AP) - Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon is urging Missouri legislators to pass a law adding automated political calls to those that can be blocked by signing up for the state's No Call List.
Some Missourians reported receiving as many as eight of the pre-recorded automated calls in a single night just before the mid-term elections.
Nixon says his office received more than 600 complaints about the calls.
Nixon also wants to stop telemarketing calls to cell phones and junk faxes to fax machines.
Bills attempting to do that made it through the state Senate but not the House.
