NOVEMBER 29, 2006 - Posted at 8:01 a.m. CST

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Fraternity members and others are gathering outside the Pi Kappa Alpha house at the University of Missouri at St. Louis this morning, consoling each other after a man died in a fire at the house early today.

The fire broke out around 3:45 this morning. Authorities say the body of one man was found on the second floor of the house (at 8826 Natural Bridge Road).

University spokesman Bob Samples says the victim is believed to be a student. Three students lived in the house, and two got out.

It isn't clear how the fire began. An investigation continues.

The Pi Kappa Alpha Web site lists 36 active members.

UMSL is bringing in counselors to help students cope with the

tragedy.
