JONESBORO, AR - As of midnight, sleet and light snow was falling in the Northern parts of Region 8, while other areas were still seeing drizzle and rain. At midnight, the freezing line was still north of Jonesboro. While temperatures are slightly above freezing, some light snow has been seen at the KAIT studios.

While some places in in Northern Region 8 may see some accumulation, the overall impact should be minimal. Since this is an early season storm, roads should not get too hazardous, with only icy patches on bridges in overpasses.

As drier air works in from the southwest, the light wintry mix will come to an end. MUCH colder air settles in for Friday.
