LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Governor-elect Mike Beebe says sponsors of his inaugural ball won't get any special treatment by his administration, but they will get their names listed in the program for the event -- and if they give enough, tickets for the ball.
Beebe spokesman Zac Wright says tickets will be available in mid-December for Beebe's January Ninth inaugural ball and an inauguration celebration the evening before. Wright said tickets for the January 8 event will be $25, while tickets for the ball will be $100 each.
Beebe is offering sponsorships for donors to be recognized with their names in the inaugural program with contributions ranging from $2,000 to $25,000 dollars. Beebe said he was following tradition by offering the sponsorships for private donors. Any leftover money raised from the sponsorships and tickets would go to the Democratic Party of Arkansas.
