CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO - A 17-year-old in Cape Girardeau will be arraigned in circuit court this month for trying to break into a bank using a pick ax.

Kyle Madden faces felony charges of stealing, burglary and property damage.

Madden waived a preliminary hearing yesterday and his arraignment is set for December 11.

Police say Madden was arrested December 1 at the Commerce Bank in Cape Girardeau, where he was using the pick ax to smash the drawer of a drive-through teller window.

Police say Madden also broke the glass door of the bank and stole a cash drawer from inside.  Police also say he stole a Union Pacific truck, which was found at the scene.
