LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas Congressman Marion Berry will serve in a leadership post on the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee.  He was appointed yesterday by incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as vice chairman of the panel.  The First District representative is the only Arkansans appointed to the committee.

A news release from Berry's office said he served on the committee in the 109th Congress.  The release said yesterday's appointment is for a full two-year term, and will enable him to help the Democratic caucus push legislation through Congress.
