ASU Student Dies On Campus Overnight

DECEMBER 8, 2006 - Posted at 1:45 p.m. CST

JONESBORO, AR - An Arkansas State University student died, apparently early this morning, in a university residence hall.

The student's name has not been released.  The female student from Cross County apparently became ill in the Northpark Quad residence hall.  A university spokesman says all indications point to natural causes as the reason for the death, and may have been the result of a pre-existing condition.

The University Police Department is investigating the incident.
