Busiest Mailing Day of the Year

December 18, 2006  --  Posted at 2:15 p.m. CST

Jonesboro, AR -- It was a busy day at the Post Office. Everybody rushing in to get those packages and Christmas Cards mailed out. Some had to stand in line for a few minutes, but said it was worth it.

"We get a package from my parents every year from Buffalo, NY. It's nice because she makes it special and it's just something we've been doing for over 10 years now."

Suzanne Wheeler said it just wouldn't be Christmas without the package.

"We love getting them every year, it's just a Christmas Holiday Tradition."

As the people were taken care of there were a few things they had forgotten. Envelopes, boxes, stamps, anything they forgot, the post office had it.

There are deadlines for shipping and it could cost more if you want to overnight it.

The best thing is to check their website, www.usps.com
