Corning Beating Case - Groning Found Guilty

Corning, AR -- It took the jury about one hour to find Donald Groning guilty of First Degree Battery and Tampering with Evidence.  The jury sentenced Groning to 5 years in prison and no fine.  Groning was allegedly involved with beating 19 year old Craig Matthews in April.

Groning is currently in the custody of the Clay County Sheriff's Department.  Meanwhile, his mother, Wanda Emmons, faces a charge of tampering with evidence stemming from the incident.
