Four Car Accident Stops Traffic, Injures Six

JONESBORO-- A driver, allegedly under the influence, caused a four car wreck on U.S. 49 between Brookland and Jonesboro Thursday afternoon, sending six people to the hospital and backing up traffic for miles.

The accident occurred around 4:00 p.m. near the Busch Agriculture mill.

A southbound vehicle, driven by 29-year-old Dennis Dill of Paragould, crossed over the center lane and sideswiped a minivan, a second vehicle and collided head-on with a third, according to police. 

Dill is listed in critical condition and has been transferred from St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro to The Med in Memphis.

Drivers and passengers in the other vehicles sustained only minor injuries...three of which, drove themselves to the hospital.

Dill will face left of center, DWI, drug and no seatbelt charges.
