BATESVILLE, AR -- On Monday, fans around the world will celebrate Elvis Presley's 72nd birthday.

To honor the king of rock and roll, a Region 8 radio station will be playing all Elvis all the time from noon on Friday until midnight on Sunday.

For the next couple days the radio station will play anything "Elvis" they can get their hands on.

"We're playing just about every piece of Elvis that you've ever heard before and a lot of stuff that you'll never hear anywhere else," said WRD Entertainment Programming Director Rob Stanley.

This is the third year the radio station has done the Elvis tribute and Stanley said the response from fans and sponsors gets bigger every year.

"Especially around this area where Elvis spent a lot of time coming to the White River Water Carnival and to fairs and other events people still remember and want to commemorate Elvis," said Stanley.

"Elvis was an icon, you know Elvis appealed to the masses.  People weren't just fans of Elvis.  They loved Elvis," said Jack Hill.

The stations playing the Elvis tribute are KIX 106.5 and am 1130.  You can pick these stations up near Batesville, Evening Shade, Cherokee Village, Salem, and Mountain Home.
