JANUARY 9, 2007 - Posted at 7:34 a.m. CST

LONOKE, AR - Sentencing is set for February 16 for a Searcy woman and her stepdaughter on charges related to the death of the woman's husband.

Kenneth Burnett was fatally shot last February 3 and his body was burned in a car.

His wife, 41-year-old Jacki Burnett of Searcy, pleaded guilty in Lonoke County on Thursday to first-degree murder, plus charges of abuse of a corpse and arson.

The victim's daughter, 21-year-old Tonia Burnett Botswell, pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse and hindering apprehension for helping her stepmother dispose of her father's body.

Authorities say Kenneth Burnett's body was found in the back of Jacki and Kenneth Burnett's car, which was set aflame in a remote area of Prarie County.
