LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Mike Beebe gets to work today. He will address a joint session of the House and Senate and put forth specific proposals for his agenda.
Beebe was sworn in yesterday as Arkansas' 45th governor.
In his inaugural address on the steps of the state Capitol, Beebe told about 2,000 audience members that hard times don't have to be a part of life in Arkansas.
The Region 8 native (Jackson County) and lifelong Democrat said he's eager to work with legislators and called for a spirit of cooperation in state government.
Beebe thanked his supporters at an inaugural ball last night with a room packed with over 3,400 people at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.
