Paragould Attorney to Head Up Alcoholic Beverage Control Division

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Mike Beebe today named Paragould attorney Michael Langley as director of the Alcohol and Beverage Control Division.

The 39-year-old Langley has practiced law for 13 years, most recently as vice president and general counsel for First National Bank of Paragould, Jonesboro and Corning.  He also served as commissioner of Paragould Light, Water & Cable, and is on the board for Greene County's Habitat for Humanity.

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Division serves to grant, suspend or revoke permits to manufacture and transport wholesale and retail alcoholic beverages in Arkansas.  In addition, the ABC enforces and adopts rules and regulations necessary to comply with alcoholic beverage control laws of the State.
