High Water Closes Deer Hunting to Much of Northeast Arkansas

JONESBORO, AR - Last weekend's heavy rains have prompted the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission to close deer hunting on several flooded regions of northeast Arkansas.

Due to the high water, the following areas are closed to deer hunting...

-Flood Prone Region B (near Bald Knob)

-Black River Flood Prone Region (Clay and Randolph counties)

-St. Francis River Flood Prone Region

-Shirey Bay/Rainey Brake Flood Prone Region (Lawrence Co.)

-Henry Gray Hurricane Lake Wildlife Management Area (White Co.)

-Rex Hancock Black Swamp Wildlife Management Area (Woodruff Co.)

-Big Lake Wildlife Management Area (Mississippi Co.)
