JANUARY 23, 2007 - Posted at 4:09 p.m. CST

MELBOURNE, AR - Two Izard County men face several felony charges following an investigation into a fire at the Izard County Consolidated School District's bus garage last week.

Jason Sherrell, 20, of Melbourne, and 24-year-old Michael Kulczycki or rural Melbourne face charges of criminal mischief in the blaze.  Sherrell is also charged with other criminal acts not related to the fire.  He is charged with six felony criminal mischief charges, all of which involve destruction of property with a vehicle.

The two men are accused of pushing or driving a school bus through a closed door and into the bus garage, resulting in a fire that totally destroyed the bus and heavily damaged the garage.  Damage to the bus and the building is estimated to be approximately $17,000.

Both the bus and the garage were insured.  The fire occured late Thursday night.
