KENNETT, MO - Authorities in Dunklin County have recovered four farm tractors that had been reported stolen in the Bootheel and northeast Arkansas.

A tractor that was reported stolen in Greene County (AR) has been recovered in a wooded area north of Clarkton, while another tractor stolen from a Malden implement dealer has been recovered in Ripley County, near Doniphan.  Dunklin County authorities say two other tractors with altered serial numbers have been seized by sheriff's deputies in the Holcomb community.

Jack Burgess of rural Holcomb has been charged in relation to one of the thefts.  He is charged with the sale of a motor vehicle with altered identification numbers and receiving stolen property in relation to one of the tractors found in Holcomb.

The investigation remains open.
