Region 8 School Taking Extra Precautions with Chicken

PARAGOULD, AR - The principal at Greene County Tech Primary School in Paragould says the school will take extra precautions to make sure there are no pieces of bone in the shredded-chicken barbeque sandwiches served to students.  A parent complained last week that some of the barbeque chicken sandwiches served at the school had bones mixed in with the meat.

Principal Joe Ed Smith says no students were hurt, but from now on the food service workers will put on latex gloves and check all of the chicken to make sure no bones are in the food.  He says the sandwiches were served to about 900 children at the primary school and 700 at the elementary school.
