MEMPHIS, TN - A truck drove off the fifth floor of a parking garage at the University of Memphis, injuring the driver.
The vehicle plunged off the top floor of the garage yesterday afternoon and hit nose-first, scattering concrete that was knocked off the building.
The unidentified driver, a woman, was taken to the Regional Medical Center, but ambulance attendants said her injuries appeared to be minor. She was conscious and talking to them.
Investigators said she may have hit the gas pedal by accident.
The woman was apparently the only person in the vehicle, which crashed on the south side of the campus.
