A-S-U Student Took the Plunge

February 1, 2006 -- Posted at 12:30 pm CST

Jonesboro, AR -- Ryan Crawford, a student at ASU, got a late start at raising money for the Polar Bear Plunge. But he was determined to raise funds last minute for the Special Olympics. Ryan joined us live last Friday morning and tested out the waters. And after jumping in...

"It's freezing! It's the coldest I've ever been!"

We asked for your donations to help Ryan raise money for the Polar Bear Plunge, and you came through. Ryan raised $175.

"If I can do it, anyone can."

Ryan jumped in twice on Good Morning Region Eight and then one more time at Craighead Forest Lake last Saturday and has no regrets.

"I just want to say thanks to all those who donated, and it was all for a good cause no matter how cold it was!"

Thanks Ryan!
