JONESBORO - All to often churches have to fight for the attention of college students. Overloaded with school and jobs religion can quickly fade to the back of collegians minds. However some churches are working together to help promote collegiate involvement. Nettleton Baptist and Walnut Street Baptist decided to host meetings where the members of both churches could come together and build relationships. The first of these meetings took place this week at Jonesboro's indoor putt-putt course. The event brought together around 25 students. They enjoyed refreshments and got to know one another over a round of golf. The churches hope that by bringing the students together on a social level they will develop relationships that will help them develop on a spiritual level.
