A long time Jonesboro resident, Walter W. Hayes, DPM, FACFAS, graduated from both Westside High School and Arkansas State University. He later obtained his Doctoral degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida. After medical school, he completed a two year Podiatric Medical and Surgical residency at Doctors Hospital in New Boston, Texas. He returned to Jonesboro in 2003 to open his solo practice. The first location was on Southwest Drive through NEA Foot Clinic. As the practice grew, we needed to move to the current Windover address which also allowed for a more appropriate name change, Family Foot & Ankle Center.
Dr. Hayes enjoys the outdoors through his running activities. He is an avid runner and to help promote health, fitness, and competition in Northeast Arkansas, he is the current sponsor of the Ridge Rider Athletic Club Running and Walking Series. He has completed several half and full marathons over the years.
Dr. Hayes treats common foot and ankle ailments, sports injuries, diabetic foot care needs, pediatric foot disorders, and many others with modern non-surgical and surgical solutions. Don't let foot pain keep you from you goals. Dr. Hayes is only a phone call away.
