PINE BLUFF, AR - An industrial development group says Pine Bluff would make the perfect location for an ethanol plant.

The Chicago-based Industrial Technology Group conducted a feasibility study and concluded a site at the Port of Pine Bluff would provide rail, river and highway access.

Arkansas Farmers Biofuels is developing its board and its business plan.

The company is proposing a facility that would produce 100 million gallons of ethanol annually and would employ 50 people.  Construction cost would be $164 million.
