Winter Storm Affecting Parts of Region 8 Today

EARLE, AR - The National Weather Service says a winter storm could bring freezing rain to parts of north central Arkansas this morning.

A freezing rain advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for Cleburne, Independence, Jackson, Stone, White, and Woodruff counties in Region 8, as well as six other counties outside the viewing area.

Light freezing rain and precipitation has been reported this morning in parts of Critttenden,  Cross and St. Francis counties.  In St. Francis County, the Forrest City School District is closed today as a result of the weather.
