LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Senate unanimously endorsed a bill today that would replace the state's six percent sales tax on off-road diesel with a 6-cent per gallon increase.

That proposal would cost the state about $14.8 million annually, and was factored into Governor Beebe's budget proposal.

The bill was sponsored by Representative Chris Thyer, a Democrat from Jonesboro.

The Senate passed the bill by a vote of 31-to-0.
