INDIANAPOLIS - At least four traffic deaths are being blamed on freezing winter storms blasting across the Midwest. Winter storm watches and warnings extend from Iowa and Missouri across the Ohio Valley into parts of New England.
Forty mile-an-hour winds have blown snow drifts up to three feet in parts of Indiana, where ten inches of snow's been recorded. About six-thousand power customers in the Bloomington area are without service.
Travelers are facing canceled flights and lousy driving conditions. In New York state, already blanketed by several feet of snow, forecasters say up to 20 more inches could fall in some areas.
