Jonesboro: They are wanted by the Jonesboro Police Department because they have failed to register as a sex offender.
Here is our first wanted sex offender; 25 year old Aaron Ferguson. Aaron is a level three sex offender. He targets 12-15 year-old girls. His past offenses include intentionally touching young girls in a lewd or lascivious manner or enticing them to touch him. His last known Jonesboro address is 1606 Courtney Cove.
Here is our second wanted sex offender; 26 year-old Christopher Clinton. He is a level three offender who targets pubescent females. His past crimes include having sex with a 15 year-old girl. His last known address in Jonesboro was 309 Ranchette.
I stated that both of these sex offenders are level three. Detective Ernest Ward heads up JPD's sex offender registration program. He says there are four levels of sex offenders. One is the lowest and four is the highest. Aaron Ferguson and Christopher Clinton are both level three. That means there is a high risk they will committ another sex crime.
Detective Ward says that adding sex offenders to Crimestoppers has already paid off. One offender has already turned himself in because he heard we would be doing this, and he didn't want to be on tv. Detective Ward says he's received several other calls from offenders making sure they were compliant just to make sure they didn't end up on Crimestoppers.
But these two aren't so lucky. Aaron Fegurson and Christopher Clinton are both wanted by JPD. If you know where either man can be found, call Crimestoppers, 935-STOP and tell police what you know. When you call, you'll get a tip number. Put it somewhere safe and keep watching Crimestoppers. Then, if you see an arrest in your case, call or email Sgt. Steve McDaniel at JPD and give him that tip number. He'll tell you how to get your cash. That's how you stay anonymous. Give 'em a call. And remember, when you see crime, call Crimestoppers, 935-STOP.
