Huckabee Opens Political Headquarters in Little Rock

FEBRUARY 14, 2007 - Posted at 3:47 p.m. CST

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Former Governor Mike Huckabee has opened his presidential exploratory committee's headquarters in Little Rock.

Huckabee formally opened the office today and took questions from reporters.

Huckabee says he is not concerned about being considered a second-tier presidential candidate.  He says there are candidates who are among the front-runners who won't finish the race.

Huckabee campaign manager Chip Saltsman says the campaign office will employ six people in Little Rock and is also relying on volunteers to help with Huckabee's bid.  Saltsman says Huckabee's campaign will focus on the former governor's strengths through one-on-one meetings in small groups.
