Woman Ordered Held in Death of St. Francis County Man

FEBRUARY 28, 2007 - Posted at 7:38 a.m. CST

FORREST CITY, AR - A Forrest City woman is being held without bond after being accused of stabbing an 83-year-old man to death.

Authorities say 41-year-old Janice Fay Jordan is charged with stabbing Walter Gibbs of Madison during a dispute that may have been over money.  Gibbs died Sunday and Jordan was charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery.

Major Stanley Barnes of the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office says investigators believe the two had an argument over $3 or $4.  Another arrest may be made in the case.
