JONESBORO, AR - Administrators with the Jonesboro School District confirmed for K8 News this morning that the high school received a bomb threat shortly after 9 a.m. today.

According to superintendent Steve Singleton, JHS staff went through routine procedures in implementing the district's crisis response plan for evacuation.  Jonesboro police were called in to investigate and sweep the building, but nothing suspicious was found.

Singleton says authorities suspect a hoax.
