Jonesboro Chamber Official Honored for Arkansas Tourism Leadership

JONESBORO, AR - Cari White of Jonesboro has been honored with the Arkansas Hospitality Association's Silver Cup Award for her leadership on state and regional tourism issues.

White has served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce since November 2000.  Previously, she was the executive director of the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce from 1989-2000.

The AHA is the official voice of the state's lodging, restaurant, travel and tourism industries, and hosts the annual banquet to honor and recognize hospitality industry leaders, managers and employees who exhibit the greatest commitment to service and excellence.

White received the award Tuesday evening at the AHA's "Stars of the Industry" banquet in Little Rock.
