Blytheville Police Arrest Man in Fatal Stabbing

BLYTHEVILLE, AR - Police in Blytheville have arrested a local man on murder charges in connection a fatal stabbing that occured early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the emergency room of the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at 1:41 a.m., where 47-year-old Linda Delaney had been taken for treatment of several stab wounds.  Medical personnel were unable to save the woman, and she was soon pronounced dead.

Officers then talked to man that brought the victim to the E.R., identified as 40-year-old Charles Brown, Jr.  Brown has since been charged with first degree murder in the case.
