LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Family members of a Montgomery County soldier serving with the 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq say he was killed by a roadside bomb.
The family of 25-year-old Justin Estes said he was killed Monday. They said Estes, who grew up in the Sims community about ten miles northwest of Mount Ida, was on his second tour in the Middle East and was due to return to the U.S. on March 20.
They said Estes, a 2000 graduate of Oden High School, was assigned to the 82nd Airborne, based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, during peacetime.
