Monster Trucks Roll Through Region 8

JONESBORO, AR -- "Bearfoot," "Big Foot" and "Transaurus" all rolled through the ASU Convocation Center Friday night during the AMP Tour's Monster Truck Challenge.  For one Region 8 family, it was a chance to check out the big wheels.

"We've been trying to come for the last three years and we've always missed it. This year my daughter won tickets from the Ridge 107.1 at the Auto-Mart in Paragould," said Barbara Richards.

The Richards family of Corning also won a free ride in the monster truck "Kickin' & Screaming."

"It was a real adrenaline rush," admitted Stormi Richards.

The five monster trucks and X-game style motorcycles were quite a sight to take in Friday night...fans definitely got plenty of bang for their buck.

"They can crush things without getting flat tires," said 10-year-old John Richards admiringly. And everyone seemed to have the same pre-show prediction...monster trucks are loud!

"It's going to be really loud," laughed Stormi.

"It's going to be loud. I know it's going to be loud. It's going to be loud but fun!" said Barbara.

"They're loud and they have a lot of power," smiled John.

Monster Truck Thunder Slam continues on Saturday night with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are available at the ASU Convocation Center.
