Searcy Man Keeps on Truckin'...Safely

MARCH 12, 2007 - Posted at 7:26 a.m. CST

SEARCY, AR - Truck driver Bobby Wright of Searcy has reached a milestone that not many people even get a chance to achieve.  Wright recently surpassed the two million mile-mark behind the wheel without a preventable accident.

Wright, a driver for USA Truck since 1988, said a skill developed as a child has helped along the way.  He says he was good at dodge ball when he was a kid, and he finds that, as a truck driver, you have to watch out and you have to dodge.

Wright urges drivers who want to be safe drivers to pay attention to everybody around themselves.  As he put it, "Watch out for the other guy...and allow for somebody else messing up."
