LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Beebe signed into law a package of bills today, including one that will put a $575 million highway bond package before voters in November 2008.
Beebe signed seven bills at a ceremony in the state Capitol.
The bills include a measure creating an electronic database for tracking purchases of pseudoephedrine, an ingredient in making methamphetamine. The proposal is part of Attorney General Dustin McDaniel's legislative package.
Beebe also signed into law legislation that would allow the state to issue birth certificates to parents of stillborn children. The first certificate was given to Tina Lee, a 34-year-old Sherwood woman whose daughter was stillborn in 2004.
