SPRINGHILL, AR -- Wrestling, hand to hand fighting, knock-down punching matches...something you would expect to see in a wrestling ring. But it wasn't...rather taking place in a classroom in Springhill, Arkansas and parents are fired up that administrators aren't doing anything about it.
"Clearly, no child can learn in that atmosphere," said parent Jerri Moses.
Rather than learning in Bruce Webb's seventh grade science class at Springhill High School, students were in an all out battle-royal...with their teacher looking on.
"I was shocked when I saw the video and I was angry when I saw the video that the teacher let this go on in the classroom," said Moses.
Video was recorded off of a cell phone by student Trevor Moses....you can hear him comment about his teacher Mr. Webb.
"He said, 'Are you going to delete that?' Whenever I said, 'no' he said, 'why not, because I don't want to get in trouble.'" said student Trevor Moses.
School officials say they don't believe the students are in any physical danger, but are taking the matter seriously.
"The activity that goes on in the classroom creates a personnel matter, we cannot discuss personnel matter," said superintendent Dickie Williams.
