Jonesboro Daycare Owner Faces Attempted First Degree Murder Charges

JONESBORO, AR -  Police have arrested a Jonesboro daycare owner for attempted first degree murder.  Police say Rion Carpadkis, the owner of the Little Star Learning Center, intentionally drove his car into another vehicle driven by 28-year-old Jammie Gregory.  The accident happened Friday morning around 8 A.M.

"Evidence from the scene proved that there was more to this than just a simple accident, says Jonesboro Detective Vic Brooks.

Gregory told officers at the scene that Carpadakis had been threatening him.  Carpadakis' wife told police she had recently left her husband to be with Gregory.  According to court documents, his wife says her husband forced her to set up an Internet site for sex purposes.  It was on this site that they met Gregory.

Carpadakis also has two restraining orders against him, one for his wife and one for Jammie Gregory.  His next court date is May 31st.
