LITTLE ROCK, AR - Officials with the Arkansas Alcohol Beverage Control board told K8 News today that the panel is levying a $2,000 fine, one year's probation and a 45-day suspension of its liquor license against Julio's Restaurant and private club in downtown Jonesboro.
The penalties come amid allegations of violations of the state's liquor permit codes.
Meanwhile, restaurant co-founder Julio Diaz has reportedly requested a "true mother hearing" with the ABC board to determine the future of the restaurant's liquor license, which was issued to Diaz in his name. Diaz is currently in a dispute with his business partner, Larry Don Rose. The date for the hearing has not yet been set.
