JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Today is a day of mourning in Missouri for the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting.
Governor Blunt said Missourians are being asked to stand with Virginia and pray for those involved in the tragedy.
Blunt's announcement came after Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine asked governors across the nation to join him in declaring the day of mourning.
Communities across the country will hold interfaith prayer ceremonies, beginning with the ringing of bells.
Blunt is asking Missouri churches and communities to join in that effort.
