JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - A lawsuit alleging sexual harassment by a former state agriculture director will go forward.
Former employee Heather Elder alleges sexual harassment and sex discrimination by the agency's former director, Fred Ferrell. Ferrell was forced to resign a few days after the allegations were made public in February.
The agency sued Elder, seeking to enforce what it says was a settlement agreement. Elder claims a final agreement was never reached.
A Cole County judge denied a request from the Agriculture Department to rule in its favor immediately. The judge says she needs more information before making a final decision.
