Celebration Hispana en Mayo Set for Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR - The annual Hispanic Celebration in May Arts and Music Festival and Dance is set for May 5 at St. Bernard's Auditorium in Jonesboro.

The festival is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature live music and entertainment, children's activities, pinata sales, a silent auction and a variety of foods and crafts, while the dance is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., and will feature an Hispanic beauty pageant, salsa dance demonstrations and instruction, and foods.

Last year's event attracted more than 2,000 people, and more are expected to attend this year.  Proceeds for the event will be distributed to Hispanic Community Services, Inc. and an endowed scholarship at Arkansas State University.
