Fulton Counry 5K Run

FULTON COUNTY - Runners and walkers are invited to Salem, Arkansas Saturday, May 26 for the Fulton County Homecoming Festival Mark Thomas Memorial Apple Pie 5K Run. The run/walk begins and ends on the court square and is sponsored by the Bank of Salem. The specially designed course will be well marked with race coordinators along the route. There will be 10 age divisions for both men and women for runners and a walking division.

All runners will receive a specially designed race t-shirt. One overall fast time silver-plated engraved wine cooler will be awarded to the first person across the finish line. Plaques will be presented to the top male and female runner. First, second and third place medallions will be awarded in the age divisions. The first 20 runners will receive a homemade apple pie baked by members of the Fulton County Extension Homemakers with the apples provided by Town & Country Super Market. A Traveling Trophy will be presented to the business with the most participants in the 5K Race.

Racers are encouraged to pre-register. Registration forms are available from Sherry Jackson at North Arkansas Electric Cooperative in Salem or from the Bank of Salem. To request a form by telephone call 870-895-6226. The $12 entry fee must accompany the registration.

All race participants must check in at the registration table on the north side of the court square between 6:30 and 7:30 am the day of the race. The race begins promptly at 8:00 am.
