ASU Museum Uses iPod to Bring Sounds of History to Visitors

JONESBORO, AR - In Jonesboro, the Arkansas State University is using a modern-day device to bring back the sounds of the state's history.

Those visiting the museum can take iPod tours of the "Old Town, Arkansas" exhibit.   As they walk through the exhibit, they will hear on the iPod music appropriate to the era and sounds appropriate to the exhibit.  Viewing the town offices, a jewelry store and pawn shop, museum visitors will hear the sounds of horses clomping and barking dogs.  There are also chickens and train whistles that accompany the exhibit narration.
