LITTLE ROCK, AR - An Arkansas congressman whose region includes most of the Mississippi Delta region of the state isn't happy with the Delta Regional Authority. Congressman Marion Berry said yesterday he'll work to keep the eight-state authority from getting any more federal money until he gets details on how the agency has spent the money it's already been given.
Berry spoke yesterday at Washington to the Mississippi Delta Grassroots Caucus, which works to get help for the region. He told the group that he doesn't care if the Delta Authority doesn't get another dime.
Berry said he had been frustrated in trying to obtain information about how it is spending its money, and he hasn't gotten it.
