Beebe: School Funding Lawsuit will End, but Improvements Won't

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Beebe says the end of the Lake View school funding case won't mean the end of improvements in the state's public schools.

Beebe spoke yesterday to the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators and the state School Boards Association at a joint conference in downtown Little Rock.  He told the group that he intends to help bring about constant improvements to the 450,000-student education system.

Beebe says the next challenge will be to sustain the progress the state has made and build on it.
