Former Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Dies

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Les Hollingsworth, a former Arkansas Supreme Court justice and one of the first blacks to serve on the Little Rock Board of Directors, died yesterday.  He was 71.

Hollingsworth was part of the Little Rock School District's lawsuit to consolidate the three Pulaski County school districts.  He was appointed to the state Supreme Court in 1984 by Governor Bill Clinton.  He replaced Justice J. Frank Holt, who died in 1983.  Hollingsworth served until the end of 1984.
