EPA Awards Air Pollution Prevention Grant for Crittenden County

MARION, AR - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says it has awarded a $248,000 grant to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality.

The EPA says the grant will be used for air pollution prevention in Crittenden County.

Crittenden County has had air pollution problems, primarily because of its proximity to Memphis.  The EPA says the grant should lead to a reduction of toxins in the air and a reduction of ambient nitrates and sulfates.
