Hunt Still On for Pair Accused of Shooting State Trooper

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - State police say they are still looking for a Benton couple accused of firing at a trooper after an attempt at a traffic stop on Interstate-40 in North Little Rock.

State police say a trooper tried to pull over 33-year-old Christopher Grady and 43-year-old Rebecca Burrier yesterday and shots were fired from the vehicle.

A trooper patrolling I-40 near the Highway 365 interchange near Maumelle tried to stop the pickup after he saw it speeding, but the driver refused to stop.  State police say an occupant of the pickup fired shots from a handgun at the troopers.

The truck was abandoned and the occupants fled.  A resident of the area later told officers that he had taken a man and a woman to a service station in the Morgan area when they asked for his help.
